New Tent for Christmas

Granpa and Granma Brockett got the boys a fun log cabin for Christmas
The boys slept in the new cabin every night and even put a little plant by the door so it would be more like the woods.

Christmas

We had a great BIG Christmas at our house this year! Not that much was spent on gifts, but we had a big time and celebrated for the entire month. We did the tree, lights, egg nog, Christmas movies, the whole thing.

Ice Storm

Mom's roses. We tried to stay at her house, but then her power went off. We mostly lived in our car, since it has a heater and TV.
This is our corner. This was while I was still excited enough to go outside and take pictures. That didn't last long with no power, heat, or water. And trees were falling all around me. It was weird.

Crazy Ice Storm brought down all the trees and power lines. I took this as we were leaving the neighborhood for the week. A good thing, since so many trees fell the roads to our peninsula were blocked.

Jingle Bell fun run

The 5K Jingle Bell Run, with lots of dogs, kids, and everybody wearing jingle bells, Santa hats, Santa costumes, etc.. I almost got beat by a girl in a reindeer get-up. But I (with Micah's encouragement) beat reindeer girl in the last 100. Yeah!!

Mom is such a trooper -- it was freezing and getting colder by the minute. But I wanted to run the 5K with Micah, so she "volunteered" to walk the 1K with the boys. We are all wearing advertisement shirts for church. Sam is mad that we took his airplane away. He said it was going to run with him.

They all did great! The boys decided to run the last stretch with lots of cheers all around!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great time at mom's. Since she downsized a few years ago and Becky decided to have five kids even with Matt and Miranda not able to make it we were SQUISHED! We ate in the garage so we could at least be in the same room together!

Hockey Game with Cousins

We got free hockey tickets from Uncle Scott's work and decided to enjoy the game with everyone! We went to eat hamburgers first at our favorite dive.

Tate thinks that Uncle Micah has a cell phone for the sole purpose of letting him play games on it.

Visiting Aunt M in MO

We miss Aunt Miranda! We want to go see her!! He we are taking a pit-stop on the four-hour drive.

It was sunset and a warm evening. These boys needed to run, scream, and push!

Notice that my clean, handsome boy found water... where? How? He was soaked from the knees down, but happy.

We got in so late we fell right asleep, but enjoyed hot chocolate on the deck early the next morning while everyone else was waking up.


Off to sight-see!

I thought this would be cute, until the sun was so bright they couldn't see and the zoo keeper got mad at us for getting "into" the exhibit. I should've pulled out the Indian cards and demanded my house back.
