"Put ON your underwear by yourself!"

Now that Sam is potty trained, even at night (Praise God!), I am moving along to the next step of teaching him to dress himself. Undies are hard, I get that. But after his bath tonight, I asked him to please put them ON his body (he has been getting them and carrying them around asking for help). This is what I saw when I walked in the room. He smiled and said "I did it! I am Mr. Undie Head!!"

Once I stopped laughing and grabbed the camera, they were both in the act. I never knew how creatively you can get underwear onto your body. I edited out body parts!

You can really see Tate has lost BOTH of his front teeth in this picture. He is adorable!

Boys Snuggling

The boys have their very own mattresses, but it doesn't matter. They love to snuggle together and I just couldn't resist a picture. The flash is deceitful; it was so dark I had to take a dozen before I actually got them in the frame! I couldn't believe they stayed so still.

Picnic Time with Sammy and "Friends"

Sam asked me for bologna for dinner so he could eat in the living room and have a picnic. He said his friends wanted to eat together (no "friends" are allowed at the table due to previous stuffed animal disasters -- they are always to blame for spilling things). I assumed Sam would invite Penny, his white dog that never leaves his side, and maybe other furry friends, but he actually wanted his cars to join him. When he couldn't find his favorite race car, he exclaimed very seriously, "Oh no! My fast car has prepared!!!" (instead of 'disappeared') Race car was found and everyone enjoyed dinner together.

Snuggling

My boys wanted to sleep in the tent again, and they are so cute crashed out together! Sam even shared his blankie!

New Tent for Christmas

Granpa and Granma Brockett got the boys a fun log cabin for Christmas
The boys slept in the new cabin every night and even put a little plant by the door so it would be more like the woods.

Good night, Mom! Thanks Granpa Brockett and Granma Joan!

Christmas

We had a great BIG Christmas at our house this year! Not that much was spent on gifts, but we had a big time and celebrated for the entire month. We did the tree, lights, egg nog, Christmas movies, the whole thing.

Ice Storm

Mom's roses. We tried to stay at her house, but then her power went off. We mostly lived in our car, since it has a heater and TV.
This is our corner. This was while I was still excited enough to go outside and take pictures. That didn't last long with no power, heat, or water. And trees were falling all around me. It was weird.

Crazy Ice Storm brought down all the trees and power lines. I took this as we were leaving the neighborhood for the week. A good thing, since so many trees fell the roads to our peninsula were blocked.
